In order to celebrate the 105th anniversary of the School of Economics as well as the 110th anniversary of Lanzhou University, commemorate the 40th anniversary of Reform and Opening Up, and promote the "Double First-class" construction, on the morning of July 21st, the school of economics held the first alumni forum of the School of Economics in the lecture hall of Siyuan hall of the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering. Li Zhengyuan, deputy party secretary of the university, and Gao Xincai, honorary dean of the School of Economics, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. Zhao Wei of Zhejiang University delivered a speech on behalf of the alumni. More than 100 alumni from home and abroad, faculty and students of the School of Economics attended the forum. The forum is hosted by guo Aijun, dean of the School of Economics.

On the afternoon of July 21, the forum was held in parallel with two sub-forums. Sub-Forum I took "Trade, Institutions and Economic Development" as the theme. Sub-Forum II took "Finance, Urban Development and Industrial Innovation" as the theme.

The theme of the Alumni forum is "Bringing together alumni resources, casting Lanzhou University brilliance". Through keynote speeches, academic papers and academic seminars and other forms, the alumni of economics have shared their latest theoretical achievements in the frontier areas of the subject. At the same time, alumni also discussed the college's current talent team construction and discipline construction and the development of the college.
