From December 14 to 15, the 19th China economic annual conference was held in Nankai university. Including 18 convention governing units, nearly 40 domestic famous university economics department leaders, more than 100 selected the authors of the paper, as well as from 15 the publisher, the representatives of 13 academic journal of more than 500 people gathered in Nankai, focused on the cutting edge academic economics, around the country's big economic problems, to carry out academic exchanges and provide theoretical support for China's economic reform and development. During the annual meeting, vice President Wang Xiaowen attended the joint meeting of presidents (directors) of the school of economics, opening ceremony of the annual meeting, keynote speech, sub-forum, council unit meeting and other activities. At the same time, the recruitment team of the college organized a special job fair for university economics teachers, and introduced the situation of the school and the college as well as the recruitment policy to the doctoral students of famous universities in China. The recruitment team of the school said that it will attract outstanding talents to the school of economics to engage in teaching and scientific research with better policy treatment and better development platform.

It is reported that the China economic annual conference was founded in 2001, committed to building a platform to promote economic research in China, promote the development of economics education, promote the level of economics teaching and academic research in China, and contribute to China's economic reform and development. This year's annual meeting has 68 sub-sessions. The topics discussed are not only conventional fields such as microeconomics, macroeconomics, labor economics and development economics, but also frontier and hot topics such as investigation on innovation and entrepreneurship of Chinese enterprises, financial economy and innovation, and targeted poverty alleviation.

According to the consensus of all governing units, the 20th Annual Conference and the 20th anniversary of China economic annual conference will be held in school of economics and management of Fuzhou University in 2020, and Business School of East China University of science and technology will become the 28th new member of the Council of China economic annual conference.
